As summer settles in, Yishui Lake in Yixian county of Baoding, Hebei province, makes an ideal getaway with its cool, clear waters and stunning scenery.

The 27-square-kilometer artificial lake was built in the 1950s. Surrounded by Langya Mountain, Zijingguan Pass section of the Great Wall, and mountain peaks reaching 1,283 meters, it is a national 4A-level tourist attraction.
